About Mableton Daily News
Local Reporting to help Mableton residents stay informed, connected, and involved.
Mableton Daily News is an independent local news project covering the people, public decisions, events, and history shaping the city of Mableton.
The goal is to make it easier to understand what’s happening in Mableton, why it matters, and how you can participate. That means recording public meetings, summarizing important discussions, researching questions, and connecting residents with useful information.
You’re busy and you shouldn’t have to attend every meeting to stay informed! We’re here to help.
Meet Joe Peluso
Hey Mabletonians! I’m Joe and I recognized the need for video documentation of public meetings here in Mableton (outside of regular city council meetings). My wife and I moved here 3 years ago and we have a young son (18mo as of Oct 2026) that we hope will grow up here in Mableton.
I started Mableton Daily News (MDN) because I want to better understand the Mableton community and help others do the same. As the city develops, there are important questions about services, growth, public spending, and the relationship between residents and local government. Those questions deserve careful reporting and accessible explanations.
My background is in industrial engineering, and I’m involved in local civic and community development work. I enjoy learning how things work, asking questions, and connecting with people whose experiences and perspectives differ from my own.
Right now, MDN is a one-person operation. I’m building it one meeting, story, and conversation at a time.. with the hope that it becomes a useful, trusted resource for our neighbors.
